A relentless commitment to quality, a great deal of manual labour in the vineyard, excellent expertise and state-of-the-art winemaking techniques, as well as a drive for continuous improvement, set our family-run winery apart as one of the most distinctive estates on the Moselle.
In 2007, Peter and Pia Jostock began running their parents’ vineyard with renewed vigour.
The driving force, expert and calming influence within the family business was Peter Jostock, a trained winemaker, cellar master and sparkling wine master, who has achieved many successes and won numerous awards in recent years for his wines and sparkling wines. Together with his wife Pia, who is primarily responsible for customer relations, his three children Tom, Paul and Emma, and his parents Hanna and Peter, they nurture this passion anew every day and enjoy working together.
Sadly, Peter Jostock passed away in January 2022 following a serious illness, and today Pia, Paul and the whole family are carrying on the winery and Peter’s passion. Paul has taken over and embodies his father’s passion for making wine and sparkling wine. Because you never really leave us entirely.
Paul combines his father’s idea with his own knowledge and fresh, sustainable approaches, and in doing so hopes to further develop his own distinctive style.
Numerous successes and awards over the past two years show that he is on the right track.

Slate cellar
Alter Schiefer Tasting Cellar
In 1989, we set up our tasting room, ‘Im alten Keller’, in our old, brick-built slate cellar, which was built in 1865 beneath our main building.
On request, we offer wine tastings for up to 35 people all year round in a traditional, rustic setting (with or without a winemaker’s snack).
